I'm not too surprised, AOL has been cutting their programs and services left and right. They probably don't have too many people to do AOL News. The person who wrote this story possibly didn't know about the Smart.

Me thinks they've spent too much time reading Consumer Reports automobile articles. . .
At least CR mentioned smart even if they didn't understand it.
Of course, digging around finds a Forbes report from last fall touting the Corvette as a "relatively" green vehicle, too - at 19mpg, yet! LOL~!
