Make Your smart Really Safe!!!

Over the past year and a half, I've noted several serious design defects that, if not corrected by all you folks who are smarter than Daimler's smart engineers, are guaranteed to cause you to crash at some point:

(1) No 5-point harness -- what's up with that, Daimler? Everyone knows that all passenger cars should have NASCAR-spec harnesses;

(2) No ejection seat -- if they're good enough for the armed forces, why can't they be good enough for a $12,000 to $18,000 car? I know, right?

(3) No run flat system -- You already put the TPMS in there, why not go to the next level and include a run flat system? It's good enough for James Bond, and he's just across the channel!

(4) No armor plating -- WTH were you thinking, boys from Stuttgart? Who the heck sends out a car without chobham reactive plating???

(5) No night vision goggles -- I mean come on!!!

I suggest you fix all of these at your cost, or else you won't be able to sleep at night or let your wife drive while calling on the phone and doing her nails.

I can see you've had a fun day... and I aparently have some good reading to catch up on. I can only guess who's responsible.

Why you insensitive, intolerant, opinionated dolt! Everyone knows by now that you need only replace the smart with a 4Runner to make it safer!

Don't forget the 'fill the car with instant foam cushion during the accident' feature from Demolition Man.

(I enjoyed the humor even if no one else does....)

Edit: CT Nader disappears and now we have a replacement. Coincidence? Hmmmmm....

*giggle* Now you guys... you've all got it horribly wrong.

We need the safety foam from the Demolition Man... that way when the wind blows us off a cliff, we get to tumble with the soft inclusion of foam.

hehehe this has made me laugh! Only problem with fitting all that as standard is it would make the car so heavy, you'd need a bigger engine, which would mean a bigger car. And runflats would ruin what is already a bumpy ride! lol

Too funny - I edit my original post and add the line about Demolition Man at the same time mdfortwoguy posts about the movie. I had to ask my wife to help me remember the name. Great minds...

Haha.

Actually - in all seriousness, I like the wraparound rear curtain bag in the iQ. I want as many bags around me in a car as I can have.

Awww come on now. Everybody knows those night vision goggles only work best on a moonlit night with no other outside lighting.

I thought for sure you were going to say put wide tires all the way around.

I'm sad that he did not suggest a rocket launcher and why not radar tracking.
