Make your Smart safe! Ditch the skinnies!

With the stock pizza cutter tires on the front my abs kicks in daily. I put rear wheels and tires up front and now I can trail brake through corners and stop much quicker without the abs interference. I recommend everyone do this mod for their safety. Smartmadness.com has the best deal on wheel/tire combos.

I have almost 20K on my smart, The ABS has only kicked in durring Emergency Breaking as expected. I have never had the triangle Light up durring any daily driving without Cold weather driving conditions (snow pack or Ice on Ground)

But then Again I don't take Exit loops at 60 mhp

I think Ill sit the reast of this thread out
Anyone need some popcorn?

Wait a minute! You've travelled 20,000 miles in your smart with stock wheels and stock suspension, and you're still alive?

I'll hit 24k in the pure this week and the '09 has 16K for a total of 40K miles and we're alive!

I've only ever seen the abs and traction control on snow/ice/gravel.... Occasionally experienced understeer. Now if you do choose to drive the smart like a race car driver then by all means put better tires, suspension etc. on it but for normal driving the stock setup is fine...

50,000 miles with no wheel mods. I've had the ABS take effect many times bc I'm on a long dirt road where driving too fast will cause it to kick in. It's also helped when driving on that road and up my driveway in the snow and ice.

Yet, or that has not been detected.

And 6K and my ABS light has never come on and some very windy days down here (50-60 MPH sustained winds)

Oh noes... I still have the skinny tires on mine. Perhaps I should walk home from work tonight... I might run into some gravel on the way home.

I see this going nowhere but to trollville quickly...
