Maritz Research Survey

I just got my second Survey from Maritz

The first time I made the mistake of taking the online Survey option thinking it would be quicker. Don't do it, it allows a lot of "if this then this" flow chart options that never end

This second survey that arrived is a 2009 Vehicle Comparison Study;

They compair the smart to a Toyotoa Prius, Susuki Reno, Chevy Aveo, and Mini Cooper.

Those are the options I was soposed to look at when thinking of a smart.

Go fig

So, who thinks these items would have been usefull built into a smart.
Parking assist reverse rada
Parking assist rear screen camera
Blind spot detection
DVD/Video Player
Satallite radio
HD Radio
Internet/wi-fi connectivity
Nav Screen

Wi-fi! It'll be wierd but useful during a long trip for your passenger!

LOL yes there can be a blind spot. But that is easily taken care of with a big $3.99 blind spot mirrors that stick onto the mirrors that are there. Then their is no blind spot and it helps you get nice and close to curbs so the ppl that don't care about other ppl's cars don't ding yours.

One of the first upgrades I did to my smart was the radio. A pioneer with built in ipod control built in bluetooth, and added Sirius and HD radio, didn't need nav, or a camera in car this small.

Related/unrelated question: with HD Radio, do you get to 'record' radio similar to a DVR on your TV?

As for the original question, I would chose the NAV Unit, but that's about it. Cruise Control would be my TOP priority and it didn't even make the list!

You could always get 'curb feelers'!

Seriously, I think the mirrors themselves just need to be BIGGER! Really, just a bit larger....more of a rectangle. Shouldn't be a big deal.

So if they added CC and a NAV Unit as options, made the mirrors bigger and had a less anemic horn, the car would be PERFECT as far as I'm concerned!

I don't think I would want a Factory Built in Nav system.

Some of those will not let you make changes unless your car is in Park.
Other require an expensive upgrade to get the Maps up to date.
