McDonald's drive through - smart humor

A few days after reading someone's funny comment on here I couldn't resist the following:

I was going through a Mcdonald's drive through. I pulled up to the window to order (live person not the little box) and the guy was laughing a little and asked where I got the car. I couldn't believe he set up the joke perfectly. I told him "It came in the last Happy Meal I got here". At this point he was laughing so hard he couldn't figure out the correct change. He must have radio'd to the other's because when I pulled up to the pickup window another employee and manager were already hanging out the window looking and laughing.

Thanks to the person that posted about the car coming in a happy meal...I think everyone should try to pull this off.

I usually say Cracker Jack's box, but Happy Meal is probably more understandable these days

Don't think a Cracker Jack joke would have hit as hard at a McDonalds. Good one!

Misunderstood the laughing....

I think you misunderstood why these folks were laughing. The joke was cute, but I suspect they were laughing at the stooge that spent all that money on an impractical micro car that gets crap for mileage. Diesel is the way boys, I average 53 mpg on my full sized volkswagen diesel Jetta. And I don't have to wear a clown suit while I'm driving.

Gee, Marc, think you might have some negativity issue? Maybe you ought to watch "The Secret" and get more positive?

Yep Marc, I doubt anyone will smile when they see your Jetta coming. I doubt they will look at all. Enjoy your ride.

Having fun paying $4.60 a gallon yet?
Not to mention that resale values for a TDI Jetta are rediculous, $14k for a car with 120k on it.

I think the joke's on you.

he can have 'fun' paying $4.60+/gal and we'll have 'fun' driving our 'clown cars'.......to each his own.

but if he's so 'anti-smart', why is he HERE? don't they have a VW site he can badmouth us on?

It amazes me when someone, who obviously is bored, goes onto a forum site, spend all that time registering and then post a negative remark about a car he doesn't even own. Hey, VW guy, good for you and your diesel. I'm happy for you. You are paying over a $1 more for gas and you are calling the Smart impractical?

I'm guessing that Marc probably doesn't get any attention driving his ho-hum car so he looks for attention on here by posting negative comments. So far it seems to be working.....
