Batteries have been around for over 200 years. The state of the art gains in battery technology have been tiny, about on a par with with our efforts in the field of anti gravity.
We are going nowhere with this approach to energy storage. The battery powered electric car is nothing more than corporate environmental puff.
Yet the other two solutions, fuel cells and grid plug-ins all start with coal.
Nuclear will work if we can shield it, and shoot the waste into the sun.
Otherwise a clean little diesel-electric car looks the best.
Build it, and I will buy it.
