Micro-hybrid drive coming to U.S. in 2008?

So, if multiple news articles suggest the MH system will be available on all models, in all markets (from what I've read), by the end of 2007.....will this be an option for us? I would gladly wait a few months and/or throw a few more $$$ towards a ForTwo with the same engine but with the advanced start/stop technology and 13% better fuel economy.

Me, too. I'm torn right now between a hybrid and the smart car. This would clinch the deal for me.

I'm already planning on getting whatever I can early in '08 (maybe even a Brabus) and then when the Smart PHEV comes out, trading up to that. A Smart PHEV would be the epitomy/benchmark of a commuter vehicle, IMHO.

MikeJCW,
If you want to read more about PHEV's go to EV World and find this article and read it:

The MH will be available only in European markets by the end of 2007.
No date when it will be available in NA markets.
