MicroCar Museum:Atlanta Smarties...Roadtrip?

Would any Atlanta area Smarties be interested in a roadtrip visit to this amazing microcar museum? It's right on our back porch. Madison is about an hour or so east of downtown. Madison also has those amazing antebellum homes, and Hard Labor Creek State Park is nearby, for a picnic.

whoops, they have odd hours:

Hours:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
1:00pm to 4:00pm
closed the months of MAY,JUNE & JULY
also Thanksgiving week and the week before and 2 weeks after Christmas


I'll be happy to call and see if they'd make special arrangements for a SMART meet, if we get enough people together, and have a selection of dates.

You beat me to it. I was checking in the museum 2 days ago before you started the thread to find out if I can find a "car related" vacation to take the wife on. Going to a Microcar museum she is all for. All the other museums I've taken her to she whined. I left her at home when I went to the Ferrari museum in Italy. I'd drive up there from Florida if they'd do a special Smart Day get together.

Got a rather abrupt email back from the Museum that they are not open on weekends, and will be closed the next couple of months.

Curious......closed during vacation season, and closed on weekends. You'd almost think they don't want people to visit.

That is exactly what it sounds like to me. Not even open on Monday or Friday so you could make a long weekend trip.
