We have a Mobil Quick change in our area and in talking with one of the service agents, he indicated that the Mobil 0-40W was difficult to get because of production problems. Has anyone heard this?

I haven't been able to locate any in central WA state. Planning to use 5-30 instead.

This winter, I'm going to run 0W30 but I'm having trouble finding it or the 0W40 European Car Formula...Might have to switch to AMSOIL or Red Line.

Dealer here told me to use Mobil 5w-30... of course its a tad warm here in the summer months and we can have 60 degree days in January.

Admittedly, your environs are cool and moderate. But, with a record low of -12F, and an average low of +33F (at Eugene), you are comfortably within the 5W-xx ranges.
