motorcycle towing???

Would a smart car be able to pull/tow a motorcycle? I have seen methods of pulling motorcycles where the back tire of the bike is 0n the ground and the front tire in the aire near the rear bumper of the towing vehicle. my bike weighs 660 lbs. thanks, Gene

Hiya Freddy !!!
I have read a few similar posts on other websites. The first suggestion was it's ok, if you remove the chain from the motorcyle - it's not good enough to just put the bike into neutral.
The other threads I found discussed "Tongue Weight".
And then last of all was discussion of what a particular vehicle is capable of towing.
So, you need to think about all three of those things.
Me - when I get my Smart, I plan to put a hitch on it, but for a bicycle.
There are a few places I visit (Joshua Tree, and Death Valley), that I would like to tow my motorcycle to, but for now, it's still just a wish.
Post up what you end up doing!!!

Best Regards,
Nu

There are trailer hitches for the smart and owners do tow with them. That said, the owners manual reads:

Quote:
Warning!
The manufacturer has not approved your
vehicle for towing a trailer. A trailer can
permanently impair driving safety.
