MPG guage conspicuous in its absence

What were they thinking to not add MPG to the digital readout? So obvious!

Those things are so inaccurate anyway it'll be much more useful to see figures from people actually calculating mpg then posting what the computer states.

I think he's talking about the computer displays that give you instant and average mpg readouts.

Both my MINI Cooper and 300SRT8 have average miles per gallon digital meters in the dash and the Prius of course has both current and average. I have had other cars that have current useage and average readings as well going back to my '88 Merkur Scorpio.

The newer 300SRT8's also have a 0-60MPH and 1/8 and 1/4 mile digital readouts with best time memory-very cool. Probably not too useful on the smart......

Hmm I just notice "smart" brand name is always spelled with all lower case letters....newbie thing I guess. MINI always caps.

Unless it's the original version - the Mini.
