MSN today has a link called: "Who'll win the small-car wars?" with a lead photo of a smart. And in the text it gives fair credit to smart for the 10,000 cars, (however realistically that is a descimal point on the scorecard for the big boys).

But the best part was that there was a vid-clip link to a test drive in a smart. The tester was a Joseph Tirella who did a good job talking over the noise from having the top down. Here were the positives: "good radio, spaceious, leg room, nice smooth ride (for a car this size)" and the only slight dish was "I sit higher than my Jetta" which can be taken either way. The best comment was - "remarkable".

TAKE THAT CONSUMER REPORTS!

Easy, if you look at my age - my generation didn't grow up with these fancy talking keyboards with moving pictures to boot. So it never dawned on me you whippersnapper.

My wife (whome I love dearly) was born and raised in "North Jersey", I lived a few years in "Middle Jersey", I didn't read it as rude at all, I considered the source......(btw, that's a joke)

RussBarnes, I'm glad I'm not the only Old Fa#t on the board. We'll have to band together to teach these young whippersnappers about life's realities. However, I'm always open to learning something from the younger crowd. So, youngster, who is only 'about to retire', tell us about your two new rear wheels that you mounted on the front. Did you need any modifications? What handling differences did you note, etc.? I assume that your experiences would be applicable to my 2007 450 Passion as well.
PS: First retired to a Holiday Rambler Endeavor pusher with slide in 1998 and then to a home in Mexico in 2001. Wish I could have both at the same time!
