20000 Miles = 299.95
30000 Miles = 225.95

90,000 Miles = 225.95

20,000, 40, 60 and 80 includes Brake Fluid Exchange and new Air Filter
40000 and 80 include coolant exchange

Didn't I read "somewhere" here that at 60K there is also a "valve" adjustment maintenance? Seems that "that" maintenance would be the "most" expensive since we're looking at an engine drop!

For sc Orlando to include a 5K option on their "tariff" argues that there is legitimacy to the theory that a blind 10K oil routine is not the be-all-and-end-all.

I don't think an engine drop would be required. Admittedly, there's not a lot of space there for working, but I think that you can get the valve cover off enough to get a feeler gauge in and make adjustments as necessary on the side of the head that has non-hydraulic valve lifters. I wouldn't want to do it and it would probably require removing the rear bumper cover and some contortion work around the exhaust system, but I think it's possible.

I believe the gasser Smart has buckets and shims. No screw type lash adjusters.
So this would require removal of the camshaft.
This would mean dropping the motor.

Gotta love it!!!

All the money we save on gas.... We can just give all those saved $$$ to the stealerships for their "wonderful" service.

Just paid $15 for a $5 oil filter and $7.95 for a 50 cent copper washer for the drain plug at the stealership.

The price for the washer (part #018-997-44-45) is $3.51 plus tax at sc Virginia Beach. They mailed me two off a phone-in order and didn't charge postage. Note, the part number is not a typical M-B/smart number, nor did they come in a M-B/smart package; it is likely a Mitsu number.

The pricing doesn't seem too bad. Here's what Toyota/Scion Dealer charges for service

5000 Miles =$99.95
15000 Miles = $119.95
30000 Miles = $294.95
45000 Miles = $119.95
60000 Miles = $294.95
75000 Miles = $119.95
90000 Miles = $294.95
