Add me to the list, I guess the 100 degree temps will do that

I don't want to replace it only to lose it again...

Add me to the list too. In addition, I also had the emblem near the antenna fall off as well. I don't want to go the Superglue route in case I ever need to replace mine due to damage (cosmetic or otherwise). Hopefully Smart Car becomes aware of the situation and improves the adhesive (all weather).

Must be the special lightweight racing adhesive on the Brabus. My lowly Passion emblems are still firmly attached.

I started this thread a month ago and thought my problem was solved. No such luck. The Brabus logo has fallen off the gas door three more times and I just gave up. I used WD-40 to clean off all the glue residue and will just live with the flat black gas door for the time being. I may at a later date add the black powder coated aluminum gas door, but hate to spend $84.00.

The thing we need to do is contact Smart Car (which I already did on my part) and bring it to their attention so they can issue an improved version (have them park one in Death Valley to make sure it works!). Otherwise, it’s flat black forever or going aftermarket…..

The passion emblems seem to be superglued while the BRABUS ones seem to be Elmer's glued.

A BRABUS passed me on the interstate 2 weekends ago and his left front badge was dangling by what looked like failed adhesive.

This issue should be addressed, why didn't they mount the BRABUS badges the same way they did the passion badges?

Being that this is a "joint venture" between smart and BRABUS, do you think that smart is installing the BRABUS stuff in their facility? Or are these options/modifications being handled at a BRABUS facility?
I guess now that I verbalize that question, it sort of seems dumb that BRABUS would modify a smart "after the fact"..... That eliminates my idea that BRABUS is using their own adhesive instead of smart's.....
Never mind, carry on.

NAPA carrys a 3M automotive emblem adhesive. Part #0 51135 08061. It is not cheep-but is the best I've ever used. It has melted some cheep plastic decals.

The adhesive is not a glue but rather a peel-and-stick contact adhesive, so it's already on the badges before they are installed. The only question is whether smart makes all of the badges, including the Brabus, or whether Brabus makes its own.

Mine has debadged itself

Somewhere in the wilds are a fuel door badge and two side badges, all that remains are the front and rear
