I tried myplates.com -- they were VERY expensive and quite limited in their letter/number combinations.

Texas limits plates to only 6 characters at the moment, so with DORY as 4 of them I'm limited. I can't have any spaces, so whatever I choose will be run together. So I can't do I M DORY, and MYDORY OR TXDORY will be squashed with no spaces.

I know we're going to 7 characters in 09 but I don't know when. I could at least them get IM DORY. I may stop by my local DMV early this week to ask them about it. Since I'm in a small town our DMV is an easy in/out. And the people are friendly.

MYDORY is great and most people have to "figure out" personalized license plates anyway!

Oregon limits you to 6 characters, too - but we can have a dash or a space. Still it was very limiting. I think CA can have up to 8!

How about KEEPON ? would go with your bumper lettering.

Thats what I am thinking about. You may just want to wait till 09. Maybe they will change it. I wish who ever have r2d2 would give it up. Probably isnt one, it was just never surrendered. Once you figure yours out, help me out with mine.

I officially pick up my car on Thursday, which is perfect. Thursday is my birthday and the car is my birthday present! I love synchronicity....
