My cheaper mods

Front bumper & pin stripe around headlights--plus my bumblebee on dash.

rear bumper & pin stripe around taillights & air scoop.

handle for tailgate window.

pin stripe on doors.

Other Mods-- window tinting--harbor freight BAD BOY twin air horns--divider in cargo area (used 1*x2* to make frame to fit tight behind seats, in slots on each side at bottom made it 14* high & covered with same carpet, thats in car )--- used two plastic jar lids, that fit perfect in frame holes--- cut windshield sunshade & put above sunshade (cut heat by 80 % )---carpeted cubby holes--floor mats---mud flaps--

costs--bumpers-$25.50-home made
tailgate handle--Lowes cab hardware--$2.85 --rearview mirror cement to glue on handle-- free-- window tinter did it for free.
BAD BOY twin air horn--harbor freight- on sale $19.95.
divider--wood-$.95-carpet at auto zone $12.95.
frame holes-$0.00--plastic jar lids
windshield shade-$9.95 pep boys
floor mats-$ 9.95 pep boys.
mud flaps-$10.95-pep boys--mazda
pin stripe- $ 0.0--I already had, from years of doing it for a living.
ONLY SHOWED THESE THINGS, SO YOU CAN ADD MODS & NOT BREAK THE BANK

Like the mods

WOW...looks like you did a lot of work since our 'rally'. I'm particurlarly interested in the bumpers. How'd you make them and where did you finally get the correct bolts for the mounts?

bolts & nuts---barnhill bolt co--abq,nm--would take a lot of explaining to do, on how to do the bumpers.
Next meet, i'll tell you how to do it.

Those bumpers look like great handles for some pranksters to use to move your car...

Nice job, those bumpers look as good as some of the ones for sale that are chromed and cost a pretty peny. You should start some fabrication of them and I bet you sell them on here with no problems if you are cheaper then the competition.

here is the part # for the acme rod-3FTX5/8"x8 tpi-115-58-36-00
part # for acme nuts-249-58-00

Can you post more information on the mudflaps? Are they smartcar specific, or something you made/modified?
