I hate giving math lessons to hybrid owners about how much gas I can buy for the difference in base prices.

(anyone else have the phenomenonenon that Prius owners are the only ones who criticize the car?)

That and the bozos who engage you with their tales of the 48 mpg Ford Focus they owned and wish they'd NEVER sold!

It's amazing how smart has raised the mileage of every American car on the road! LOL I've even been told of an Explorer that got 41 mpg. . . must of been a loooonnng downhill run with a tail wind.

RedDog, here in the states, you put your foot in the boot, but I take your meaning...

That's funny! I was in the Waffle House a few months ago and an old man was telling another old man about how he used to have a Chevette back in the late 70's - early 80's that got over 50mpg. He said he took it in for its 10k MX checkup and they "did something to it". Once he got it back he said he only got in the 30's. Went back to the dealer again and they told him that they had to remove some specific parts (wouldn't tell him what) and send them back to GM. He said he thought they had some testing technology on the car. You never know....

My biggest complaint is that I can't fit a full 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back...

In fact, I have had to use a truck or trailer anytime I have wanted to go to Home Depot for anything larger than the 15' limb saw I carried home in my smart.
