My Dad alerted me of some smarts on a used car lot
As much as my Dad likes to give me a hard time about the smart, I actually think he would like to own one. He said that there is a used car lot near him that has a handful of smarts for sale. I located the car lot on line, and was amazed that one was a 2006 !! Some of the other 08-09 have real low miles.
My dad got a smart right after I got mine, July 4 will be his 4 year anniversary. He LOVES it. He did drive in VERY heavy winds the other day. While he has almost done 30k in his car this was the first time he was in that heavy of winds. He did exactly as I had instructed him and said he was amazed. I told him no jerks when a gust hits, just hold both hands on the wheel and the car will do the rest. He couldn't believe it. Cracks me up, he does accept technology but doesn't understand it in the slightest.

No power steering and I'm loving it (feels more connected).
Before I got the car I've always recalled people saying "don't fight the wind and the car will hold its own" but with mine that's never been the case...Not like that matters really, I learned to drive in an SUV so wind is already routine business.
I find the electric PAS is over-assisted on the hwy, and far prefer the manual steering, even with 175 section front tires....Neon, if you put a BRABUS front spoiler on your car and a BRABUS suspension, it would be a whole lot better in crosswinds. Oh and 175 section front tires!

Neon is allergic to Brabus (He is a Brabus hater)
He would rather hold his steering wheel at 5 oclock !
