My new sunshade from dealer

Here are two pics of my new sunshade installed by the Louisville dealer last week. The first one is of the front right corner of the roof, the 2nd is the back right corner. As you can see, there is now a wide, covered track that it fits into. The shade was broken right from delivery on 7/15/08 and took this long to arrive at the dealer. Honestly I can't remember what the old, broken one looked like, but I do believe this is a total redesign. At the very least, it works great and feels strong.

Hope this helps those wondering about the new shades.

Awesome. How long did it take them to install the sunshade?

To answer both questions: They told me it takes only 10-15 minutes to install. I had to dash, so they gave me a loaner Cabrio; still perforated.

man, that new shade looks spiffy!

still looks like "fabric slides on metal rail" sort of design...still has "rear u-clip"...this does not seem to be a re-design, from what I can see. looks like my original sunshade, and my current replacement...

I'm interested in seeing what your problematic shades look like.
Only the Americans seem to be having problems with the sun shades and the ones fitted in Europe look exactly the same as the new one shown above.
