"May the nails from a thousand hardware stores find all of their tires."

Seriously, that sucks. I didn't get the alarm either, but my next smart will have one just for this reason.

As someone else said, if you're inclined, it would be a good time to consider a set of rear wheels/tires for the front. It might make a little lemonade...

The sealant is in a bottle in a cubby hole under the pump.

Were the tires punctured or actually slashed? The sealant goo will work on a (round) puncture, but I doubt it'd work very well, if at all, on an actual slash, especially a sidewall slash. I think there's only enough for one tire, anyway.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Actually, even without the alarm system, the red LED on the door lock button flashes while the car is parked and locked.

My car does have an alarm but according to the manual it senses vibration or movement?
It probably doesn't move much getting it's tires punctured?

[quote=forestacademy;223325]May be a good time to think about rears on the front.

Why would I want rears on the front? I know the front and rear tires are different sizes but I know nothing abbout why....

I was just gonna say that... I doubt the alarm system will detect someone just puncturing your tire and by then they would probably even ran off. ;(

And as The Rigger mentioned, the tire sealant would only work on a puncture on the tread area of the tire. You can't repair a sidewall damage as that's the structure part of the tire that carries all the weight and it would be unsafe to drive with a repaired tire that had the damage on the sidewall. And the tire sealant would work on a round puncture not a slash. ;(

Sorry to hear about that ;(

More comfortable ride and a little better handling. To do it properly you'd need two rear rims for the 175/15 tires.

This is always in the back of my mind. I can find great spots on the street in NYC but then i get alittle freaked about leaving it. Some parking garages are parking me for half price now. I going to Yankee Stadium next week and i am on the fence about taking my smart. I can just see some drunk asses flipping it. Same thing with concerts. Sorry that happened.
