I'm curious. What's it like pulling your camper on the highway? Have you experienced any good crosswinds? How much of a hit on your MPGs?

I've never pulled any kind of trailer with any kind of vehicle. I'm intrigued through!

NCC - **This is calling you!!** I'll even go pick it up with you. I want it for myself so bad I can taste it. The wife would never go for it because of it being a tent and all those knife wielding crazed lunatics slashing people in their tents at the campgrounds. I'm sure I can get you a serious deal on the hitch too then match it up to a color scheme close to your car - 10% above cost which is a bit cheaper than online...substantially. OK, trying to talk you into it - I have a habit of that when I want something for myself I can't get...sorry.

Donny - once again...that is cool!!! Thanks for finally getting those pics up. I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for them! (no sarcasm intended there either) Was it a comfortable sleep? Nice to see the bolt/nut cover profits went to great use.

sleeping was fine, no problems, and thats a REAL GOOD price for what you found.

more camp trips coming up, next week 5/16,17 big bear, next month green valley, and july will be lake arrowhead. these are located in the san bernadino mtns 6-8000 ft altitude. reservations are in. i found a yellow tarp and a black spider-web cargo net for the top of the trailer gear. youd have to see the trailer pics in the gallery to understand the yellow thing. and a battery cpap. and im taking a small battery dvd player that can recharge from the smart. i put in a 12 socket in the back wired and fused directly to the battery.
we should start a smart camper club. :-)
im blessed with having a hard time posting pics but i will try when i get back 5/17.

this trip was even better than the first, heres a couple of pics from big bear. and a new look for the extra cargo. when we drive thru the camp grounds its like a 1 vehicle parade. everyone waves and smiles..
