I have had the same problem for the last two months. When the car was in for a new windshield I had the dealer look into it along with greasing the shifter. They could not find anything wrong, which was no real surprise.

Mine does this all the time - the first time I looked all over to see what would cause it with no success...

Finally I just sat in the car to see if it would just shut up - it did after a minute or so....

No idea why it does it.... May be she's just afraid of the big bad dark garage LOL!!!

Cheers

I have had it hapeen a few times. Headlights on was one time I think...even though the headlights are off if the switch is on it will beep. I'll keep a watch out for hitting the lock button on the key.

I'm glad it's not just me! I'll try to wait before removing the key. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just happened to me tonight. I turned the car back on and then off, and it stopped. No problems since.

Garage
for whatever it's worth, I had the same for the first time yesterday. Put the key back in the ignition (did not turn it) and removed it and it stopped.

I get that quite often too. Since I'm in healthcare and work rather weird hours, (sometimes quite late) I'm usually in a hurry when it's time to get into the house.

I think everyone who said leave the key in the ignition might be correct. It happens when I rush too much.

I'm really glad to see so many other people having the same issue. It happens to me all the time. The other day I sat and looked for any kind of light indicating what was beeping and couldn't find it. I thought maybe someone put an annoy-a-tron ThinkGeek :: The ThinkGeek Annoy-a-tron
in my car and was having a good laugh. I'll try the key thing. I'm glad there isn't a serious issue. I was planning on calling the dealer tomorrow.
