My smart just arrived!

I just received an email on my crackberry from Kristin at smart center of Knoxville letting me know that my fortwo passion coupe just arrived at the dealership. Of course I immediately called her once receiving.

I told Kristin that I would be traveling to Knoxville on Tuesday to spend the week for work. She said that if possible they would have ready for me on Tuesday afternoon, if not it would be Wednesday.

I asked Kristin how many smarts arrived. She said only 3. I said and yes one of them is mine!

I will just do a one way rental car to Knoxville and use it until my smart is ready.
It has been a long wait and will be over in just a few days. I ordered on 4/28/07 (1213) a white w/black tridion, comfort pkg, upgraded stereo, anti theft, fog lights.

Only add on dealer options that I am adding are the cargo cover & rubber floor mats.
I already have purchased me a car cover, the rolo large cargo organizer bag and windshield sunshade. I do have a Doug Thorley Exhaust system on order.

I also want to buy new tires and chrome wheels. Any one know where to start looking for the wheels?

OE tires can be purchased on Tirerack.com. Wheels are not widely available. You can get them but you're going to pay a heavy price for them. I'm thinking more options will be available later this summer/fall for a lot cheaper.

Sounds like your all prepared for the new car. You're going to love it, but be prepared to get a lot of attention.

I'm so excited for you! My car is still at least six-eight weeks out, possibly more (oh, GOD I hope not!). Make sure we see pics as soon as you can. My dealer has a Passion Coupe that is that color combo. In fact, she offered to sell it to me, but it doesn't have all the options. I ordered mine (red/black) with EVERY POSSIBLE OPTION - loaded. Cannot wait to get it. Not planning to get the extra warranty, but maybe I'll get the rubber mats. Don't want fabric (velour?) mats. They hold too much grit and you can never get it out! Cargo cover - maybe. Anyway, congrats! Enjoy!

If your dealer is far from home, like mine, you may want to pick up a oil filter and washer for future use. Rahal M-B in Pittsburgh sold me 2 each for about $30....this way when it comes time I will have them.
