My Smart likes to whistle!

Anyone else have a high pitched whistle sound when driving your Smart on the freeway. Comes and goes about every 3 to 5 minutes for a few seconds. Thought it might be something in the brakes..dust or small rock but only does it at above 65mph.

Some of the stubby type antennas have been implicated in "whistle events" by other members. IIRC, they were mostly the telescoping ones.

Are you sure everything is sealed up properly? Is it like what happens when a window is cracked a little and it's windy out?

I'd check the boot pins and make sure the boot is closed. Then look at the edges of your pano roof (coupe) and see if it's sealed all the way.

Then I'd see about those doors and see if they're the problem.

It'll be really nice to know where the sound seems to be coming from...
