Nail polish(?) on paint incident

I park my car on the street and one morning found many speckles of a hard, pink substance all over the back and side of my car. I can't think of what else it is besides nail polish and some jealous, drunk jerk. I figure I'll try using nail polish remover on the windows, but I don't want to use any on the paint for fear of damaging it.

Does anyone have any recommendations? My car looks a little funny with all these small pink dots.

Yes, nail polish remover is acetone with perfume in it. I don't know what kind of chemical if any you can use, maybe a chemist will chime in. Try a fingernail first...

You can try paint cleaning clay, or a light finishing compound first.

there are acetone free nail polish removers available - dunno if they're more gentle on paint though

I would try the nail remover in an inconspicuous area first. If I remember right (please correct me if i'm wrong) black and I think white Smarts are not painted. The color is impregnated in the plastic and just not on the surface.

Even the molded colors are clear coated. I can't suggest anything other than to be careful. Maybe a good body shop/guy could suggest something.
