Is Nav an option on the passion? Or do i have to buy a portable like TomTom or Garmin?

Not yet offered in the US, but a Smart branded Garmin is offered as an accessory in Germany. I'm certain it will be coming to the US soon.

Nav System

Smart's Nav system is a off the shelf Garmin unit.

that's pretty cute, but i'd rather a whole double din navi unit =) a BIG screen would definitely light up the interior and replace that radio unit

Built ins are better against thievery from what I've been hearing on the news.

Big screen navs sound like a good idea but I have found that except for rare cases of "not sure which way she means" the voice prompts are all you need. So 99% of the time I get by with voice prompts alone no screen even needed. Glad to see Smart is using what looks like the Garmin 5 series like I have, awesome unit. One of those can't live without it type deals. And that silver ring around the screen comes off, they have lots of color options available that just snap on, like the Smart skins. Xcellent choice Smartcentral.

Yeah I have a Garmin just like that. I love it. You can get them so cheap now. It's basically a must have for any driver these days.
