Neat trick for comfort package

I don't know about you but sometimes at night when I lock my car I do not want my lights to turn on because I have them on auto. And since I have hids you know

I was messing with the car and I found out that when you park and open the driver door with the ignition still running hit the lock button on the button bank and it will flash repeatedly, turn off the car and you will hear all the doors lock. Exit the car, close the door and you have your car locked without your lights turning on

Let me know if it worked

Why would the lights stay on (in auto mode), if you lock normally?

My lights are in auto mode all the time and my lights stay on for about 30 seconds after I lock the car with the FOB.

And I would think that if you have an alarm, it would not activate in the method decribed.

I don't use auto mode, and mine come on too when I lock if it's even a tiny bit dusky. Since I have HID's too, I have to be sure to wait 30 sec before locking to let them cool down when I come home at night. Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.

I'm guessing this "headlights on thing" is something with the auto-sensor headlights? Sounds like a pain, esp if you have HID's. Oh well, lack of packages ftw for me!
