Need a quick answer...

Sorry I know I am in the wrong forum, but I need the traffic. Can you guys tell me if this will fit in the Pure radio section without going below into the cubby hole compartment storage area? I am trying to order it today but want to make sure it'll fit in my non existent radio location lol.

Eclipse AVN 6620 7"

Maybe contact your dealer. They have experience retro-fitting custom navigation tech as aftermarket up-sells. They'd probably know.

I am debating between that one (non touch) vs. the smaller 6.1" Pioneer AVIC-D3 Touchscreen. Man I can't decide! It's been so long since I've tinkered with car audio.

Search for Avic D3; several have had those installed. Uses a double DIN adapter but fits in the stock radio location, no overlap.

Sorry jwight, had to add my .02 since I don't need it for the gas any more!

Got it thanks. I jsut hate how most dash kits look when you install aftermarket. Leaves it kind of bare and not OEM looking. I'd like to fab up a better looking dash kit to make it look more "integrated".

Ok I just found out that supposedly the Pioneer Avic D3 is going to be discontinued and Pioneer will be pushing the Z3. The Z3 model is almost twice the price! Hmm...not sure which to get. Eclipse or Pioneer?

Eric:

It will fit, Eclipse got tricky and put all of the buttons on the bottom (as opposed to on the sides like their other models) which allowed them to stretch the screen to 7" while still keeping the double-din size.

I have the 5435 in my smart, amazing unit. I've always been a fan of Fujitsu-ten and would choose one of their products over a Pioneer unit any day.

I like Eclipse as well. But their touch screen is too expensive...I think it's like $1800 retail. While the AVIC is quite a bit cheaper and touchscreen.
