Not a bad idea !

Fortow, gotta hand it to ya! letting some air out of front tires and tool around the neighborhood until the dash lights up. May be a little tuff to accurately measure tire diameter but overall that just might give me the answer I'm looking for. Here I was thinking that some DC or MB engineer that possibly worked with or even designed some of these electronic gadgets might of chimed in with some stats but instead good 'ol barnyard technology prevails !!
Thanks to the readers that stayed with me on this and shared comments worth reading.

Best Regard's Barney O.

Godfather, I thought your response was grand

Doing the math on the Passion, the difference from front to back is .256" in diameters. On the Brabus the difference is .346"
I'm looking at something a little more aggressive like 1.181"
Fronts 195x50x15 (22.677" dia.)
Rears 225x50x15 (23.858" dia.)
Would appreciate someone's expertise on this issue.

Regard,s Barney O.
I almost start a tread for this I installed rear tire in front it's run great... handles better but the issue is activate the esp breaking in the corners the car stumps like he put breaks in the right side tire when you corner left.

Gilbert, I would say you have a serious problem. Putting the rear tires on the front should not cause a problem unless you put even taller tires on rear when you made the change. Having the same size on front as rear will not activate ESP. under normal driving. Maybe yur drifting too hard into the corners? YEE Haaa BARNEY O.

BARNEY O -

You might be able to get a reasonably accurate rolling diameter of the tires by doing the following;

First set the inflation pressures at the recommended psi.
Then take a measurement from the ground up to the bottom of a suspension component. This will be a reference value.
Next, reduce the tire pressures and take a second measurement being certain the pressures on both sides are equal and the measurements the same.
Then, drive reasonably slowly to avoid the enlarging effects of centrifugal forces on the rolling diameters of the tires. Take a remeasurement and note the tire pressures. If they they haven't increased due to heat buildup in the tires and the measurement is the same then you can now subtract that measurement from the original and have a good idea of the difference in diameter from the OEM tire size. It is the rolling diameter you're interested in so the measurement immediately after driving is the figure to use if there was a change.

Continue the process until the computer registers a complaint.

If you do this I'd appreciate some feedback as to how it worked.
