New 2009 rebates still available????

I've heard that there might be rebates available to new 2009 Smart cars, but could find nothing on it doing a Google search. Anyone know if this is true? Also, is it reasonable to expect another $1,000 discount along with any rebates?

According to the website rebates are until the 31st.As to the discount it depends on the dealer but from what I am hearing deals are there to be made.

I just went to the dealer yesterday and all rebates are still available.

A passion (with heated seats and power steering) was priced at 13,555 after the 1,500 incentive.

The dealer was also able to take off $250 if I chose one from their stock

my smart center in ohio is not dealing at all off the sticker price. they do give the cash back from the factory, but nothing nothing else. they have 19 cars on the lot...all 2009's too !!.........i dont understand this at all, can anyone explain what im missing here?? thnx.........

There center may be doing pretty well, even though they have 19 cars on the lot.

Have you spoken with a sale's manager in person?

Although you won't get a large discount (after the cashback) it seems as if most smart centers are willing to take off 200 or throw in some extras (floor mats etc..)
