New for 2009 Smart Car ?

I just got this info off another smart car forum:

“Recently I heard from a dealer here in the USA that for 2009 they will have fire engine red and metalic orangeish-bronze as color choices for the body panels”.

“No yellow, new grey colour. All the versions, except 84HP/45HP cdi will get the start/stop (MHD) system”.

“Prices in Europe will be little higher”.

“New alloy's and colors. But i'm not sure if USA/CA will get this”.

“Also check the doorpanel space thing, now its not plastic anymore: Yes! They are not made of plastic anymore, now it’s a net”.

“Also a lockable service panel on the front is a fix, and many more little things”.

Anyone else heard anything like this ?

I've read lots of posts on lost of forums about the 2009 model smartcar. No one knows anything yet. There is a lot of speculation but none of it seems to be based on facts. SmartUSA is not helping because they aren't saying a word for what ever reason. Like most things "smart" they seem to want there customers dumb. Maybe they will tell us in newsletter 32. The thing that concerns me most is a possible price increase.
