Thee is another one that visits from time to time. I need to get a closer look at the red/black. I saw it today again but it looked like a coup. I might have to stop by it's house for a closeup.
My husband and I have the 2nd Smart in our town, there is 1 other in the next town over. It is fun, but we get alot of comments from those that know nothing about the smart car.

Now that I think about it, I would be Ingleside's first smart. But those other three would most likely be the first of the neighboring towns.
P.S. I think that the red/silver coupe is from Crystal Lake (30mins from where I live). That's judging from the 30+times I've seen it on route home or to its destination.
Most initial reactions are as often posted here: it's cute, or it's a death trap. Aside from those, the most common remark is about my size compared to the Smart (I'm 6'1", 190 lbs) and whether I find it comfortable. And I'm usually asked if it's fast enough for the express ways.
My neighbors are continuously impressed with its parking ability, which is the chief reason I bought it. I love never having to look for a spot, even in the wee hours.
I live to far out, I don't expect to see another smart in my town for some time.
A couple in Janesville and several in Madison, but out here in farm country I relay don't expect to see another. Plenty of prius because their are plenty of dealers near by but 90 miles from a smart dealer takes some effort.

Parking is terrible downtown, but you wouldn't know now would you?
So now I can't really wait to get mine, I hope I don't get hosile reactions (tipping, keying).

Mine is always parked on the street (another parking space at my building is $28k ), and it's never been bothered, aside from the usual bumper rash from bad parking.
Ours is so new we aren't tired of people asking questions about it. Its only when we have to defend ourselves for driving it that we want to get away from them. Usually people are just very interested.
