That is awesome. I noticed this article said "not the US version." I am wondering what the differences are and if the cars we are driving are as safe and resilient as the one depicted in this article.

NOPE! Ours are safer and more resilient....
smart has made many modifications and improvements with regards to safety to the 450 (in this article) so that the new 451's will pass the safety tests here in the US.
