Officially, this thread has pissed me off and I wish I had the power to delete it. Accidents can be very serious and I know some people have good intentions but if you aren't reporting on an accident, let's not waste smart people's time with the ridiculous back & forth BS. Sorry but I live in NJ and this thread really peeked my interest and I'm very disappointed there is no real accident information to learn. No offense or personal attack Bob, I just had to vent. Regina

I've never meant to annoy people with this thread. I'm not an alarmist. I posted early in hopes that another of us South Jersey members might know something. Realistically you should all know how the car willl do in a serious crash. It's not a put down on the car. It's a need to get facts rather than "what ifs". Some people have taken this the wrong way because of the Yaris threads. If you read what I post and know how I am you'll see that I've never put any opinionated biased car B.S. in those posts. It's only been facts. I still like the Smart and have friends here I stay in touch with. I won't apologise. I did nothing wrong. People just take their fortwo a little too seriously. It's just a car, man......just a car.
BTW: Jayme found no new information on this crash.....only that it happenned in the Cherry hill area. So now everyone has one more thing to cry about. If they didn't make such a stink in the first place this string would have been uneventful and 3 pages shorter.. Let's try to maintain some objectivity here people. Sheesh.

That's how I feel. A story with no details is no story. Wait to post until you know enough to be a story and this whole thing could have been avoided.

Again, the problem isn't with the post it's with the defensive attitude of this forum. I said in the very first post...that I'll put more info when I get it. No one really needed to say anything else at that point...period. Now you prolong the agony by adding another useless post stretching it well into 5 pages. Stop! The end.

Prolonging the agony more but....FWIW, I never once saw SmartBob post something in this thread that was derrogatory toward the ForTwo. He was informing us what he knew of an accident in the area and also trying to confirm none of our own were involved.

Someone else jumped in and read into his post as Yaris centric, although he never posted anything about a yaris. Seems he is getting "picked on" because he has a yaris instead of a smart.

I, for one, thank you Bob for posting what you did know and checking in with all the NJ smart owners. Im glad it seems to have been noone here but I hope whomever it was has fared well.

I'm not going to put blame on anyone but I do feel that the original post did leave people hanging for more information.

If you're going to be a 'reporter', then report once you get the facts. If you don't, there will be questions to be answered. People do care and so that is why some are in an uproar over a lack of information.
