I was so excited when we got the letter saying that we would have our Brabus in January or February. I had spoken to the dealer about the options and was told that probably automatic wipers and headlights would be available. Not being happy with probably I wrote several times to Smart USA before finding out that neither are standard or even offered as an option. I am not about to give up my Passion with comfort package without getting at least the same features!! So there will be at least 1 orphan in Chicago

I don't find this supprising. If I was designing a car to be visualy atractive I would not want that Big old Ugly Rain Senson on it. That thing is UGLY and leaves no space for the I-Pass/EZPass....
Sorry, but I don't think the puck is ugly and my E-Z pass fits quite nicely next to it. For that matter, I like the pods too although many find them ugly as well. I can understand why some don't like any either of these, but, to me, they're all just quirks of the Smart.

Reason: typo
Apparently the BRABUS comes standard with DRLs, which are not compatible with auto lights. I assume the auto lights and auto wipers cannot be ordered separately, so neither one is available on the BRABUS.
I guess I'll have to stick with my "ugly" pod (which at 6'2 I don't even see)... give up rain sensing wipers and auto lights for a body kit and wheels? I think not...
To be honest i dont see the big deal with rain sensing wipers and auto lights, i had them on my last car (a Honda) and the wipers were a pain, they had a mind of there own, whats wrong with, when it starts going dark or its dull, switch the lights on yourself, i aint hard. And the wipers when it starts raining put your wipers on, again it aint hard.
BRABUS is a racing or performance inspired Market/Brand...so I think it fits the bill for them not to offer luxury options on a performance Brabus model.
I know most want the best of both worlds but ..we have to decide for its not a perfect world do we care more about luxury options or performance and apperance?
If I had the opportunity to get the Brabus it would not be a problem for me ..would I miss the auto wipers yes but over time I will get use to it.

At 5'10 I don't see it either. I use to think auto things were kind of a waste, until I got a car with auto lights. Never have to worry about leaving them on (never did this, but the worry is gone), or being in a city and forgetting to turn them or only having parking lights on (done this...turned the parking lights on while quickly running inside a shop, left got pulled over). As for the wipers, they are neat how they have a seemingly infinate intervals.
