Not for sale! (Re: unsolicited offers to buy)

Hi, had a funny thing happen today. My Smart has been snowed in on my driveway for a couple of weeks due to this crappy winter weather here in Northwest Ohio. A man knocked on my door and asked if it was for sale. He noticed it sitting there and not being driven! Gosh, just cause it is sitting in front of a 4 foot drift, he thinks its for sale?!? Oh well, he seemed genuinely upset that it wasn't for sale. Mine is one of only 2 in our city and he had also inquired about the one down the road. I guess I better keep a good eye on my Boopmobile to protect her! My other ride is a Jeep Wrangler and much better prepared to handle the snow and ice so I have been giving the Smart a rest. It is supposed to start melting this coming week and hopefully I will again be able to get the Smart on the road!

If it's been sitting for a "couple of weeks" you should probably see if it starts

Being electronics heavy, if you haven't been running it some or on a battery maintainer, it's probably D E A D

Thieves? Well, it's not like you could ever USE it if you stole it.
I'd find out where he lived so i could drive by every day and honk. Bet his 99 bucks will be zipped off to smart in short order.

Ok, 4ft. might have been a slight exaggeration, but not by much! Anyway,,,,, of course I have started the car. I realize about making sure it gets started now and then, just couldn't get it out of the driveway for awhile! Started just fine even with the way below 0 temps we have had. I probably wouldn't even sell it for 24K right now. I really love this car and can't wait to drive it again soon.
