Today's New York Times blog section has another Smart story, written by an automotive contributor who has a new 451 Cabrio. At the end of the store are more than 100 comments by people who either love 'em or hate 'em.

I'm about the same size as this guy...and feel pretty much the same...I fit better in the Smart then in my 99 Concorde....

I agree! I read quite a few of the posts there and a lot of people just don't seem to know what they are talking about. I've researched this car to death and it amazes me how many inaccurate statements there are in the comments. I think people should know what they're talking about (not that I'm an expert by any means) before they start saying things like "you need a pump to do an oil change", etc.

I like to think I'm a lot more upbeat about life than those nay-sayers.
