OEM smart bluetooth module?

I saw a original smart 451 fortwo bluetooth module on Ebay. I did'nt see this in the accessory catalog? What the deal? Bluetooth on this car would be perfect, it seems to plug into the back of the OEM radio, is that it?

Looks like a good accessory, but having not seen the radio I would wonder if it is the same as the 2007 that this was modeled from.

This appears to be the actual 451 accessory. Smart Center Portland has one. It can be purchased for about $450.00 I think.

Here's another thread discussing the BlueTooth accessory.

In Germany it costs 239 € (euros) to add the BlueTooth option. I believe it will soon be available in Canada, since they advertise that their smart radio 10 (which I believe is standard in Canada) is compatible with the smart BlueTooth hands-free system.

Bought a Tom Tom that already lets me do that but seems to be da thing...
Mass has a push to outlaw cell phones while driving, hands free kits would be exempt. Read a study where phone use in a simulator put an 18 year olds reaction time into the 70 year old range. hands free made no difference.
I shut mine off and enjoy the drive.

California becomes hands-free only on July 1st so I'm looking for a Bluetooth alternative. But that's a very high list price. The Canadian price is CN$685, haven't seen the US price listed.

There are too many excellent alternatives for much less money. Here are a couple:

Jabra SP5050

Alpine eX-10

Guess thats the price you pay for OEM. I have been in contact with the seller, pretty slick setup, mutes the radio of incoming calls, control call volume and ringer level through factory radio controls, can pair 20 devices, etc. What's that in American dollars, about $500.00?
