...a couple of things you absolutely, positively don't want to hear from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in a Press Release...

1) "Mr. Dave Schembri, President of SmartUSA announced today that during a data transfer, there was a major computer crash which unfortunately deleted all of the reservation holder's names that are waiting for the new smart cars. During a press conference, Schembri asked for patience and for all the people who have not yet received their smart cars, to once again submit their reservations over the internet. Mr. Schembri also said he felt confident that delivery should start again by the first quarter of 2009..."

2) "In a stunning move, Renault S.A. has purchase Diamler AG for an undisclosed price. The CEO of Renault said one of the first changes he'll make is to change the name of the smart 'fortwo' to 'LeSmart'...

How about, "your car is here, but it needs a new windshield, new headlight and new fenders". That happened to me last week. I also heard at the dealer that somewhere in the UsA a car fell off the truck when they tried to unload it. Imagine that conversation......

it happens quite often that cars get "damaged during transport" luckily i'm not one of them, but acquaintances of mine have gotten that news from their dealers.
