We have large bugs in Kansas. Sometimes as large as the car.

I wish I had pics close up of the front of my smart after last weekend's East Texas outing. The bugs were large and many. Took a while to get them all off. Gotta get the paint pen now...

For those road trips through bugland... Spray everything except the windshield with Pam cooking spray. Clean up is a breeze.

Here's an idea for the really stubborn ones: Hydrogen peroxide.

I discovered this while cleaning bugs off my Goldwing years ago; works a charm without scratching the plastic fairing or lexan windshield...

Soak a towel in peroxide - any drug-store brand'll do - and lay it over the bugs. Let it sit a few minutes to soak into the bug guts. Wipe away.

What are bugs made of? Protein. What does peroxide do? Dissolves proteins.
