Freeway smeeway!! Just do it

There is nothing better than flying by someone going 65mph when you are going 90mph in a smart! Then they only get a split second to stare! lol... I am planing a road trip from San Diego to DC! I did it in a Ford Focus ZX2 in 54 hours the last time i attempted it. But the focus would go 110mph at times. Kansas is kinda boring. hehe.. Paddle shifting in San Diego traffic is really fun!!

Been driving 80+ in mine as well and I feel fine. Grips well and with the esp I am not worried about a thing. When your driving it you forget that there is no more car behind you.

Like someone said earlier I also had a '71 semi automatic bug and it didn't stop me from driving all over the place!!!

ran just fine started the trip with 5 miles on the odometer so didn't just stand on it. ran right along with traffic felt great. The frost heaves on the street I live on made more impression than the freeway. That said it rides better than my miata.

Eeeeks, Guys!

Take it easy on your smartie engines for the first 1000miles. Break-in. Owners manual suggestion. Otherwise have a great time.

Garage
Freeway/Insterstate ...

... not a problem. The only thing that would deter me from an extended trip on the highway is the lack of a cruise control and that will be remedied shortly, I'm sure.
