I certainly hope the above quote is a demonstration of your lapse of good judgment and not a glimpse of your character.

There was service for Smarts before Penske, there is service for ALL Smarts with Penske, and I'm sure there will be service for all Smarts after Penske.

The vernacular to which you refer "Grey model" exhibits your lack of knowledge of the real automotive world.

BTW: I will not be debating the issue.

Wonder if having one of the most congested road networks in the world where you spend most of your time in stop and go jams has anything to do with it. Nah lets slam the guy that risked his $'s to bring us the car when MB USA didn't want anything to do with it. What a class bunch.

Just like spoiled children... Look, I want the MHD and diesel as much as the next guy, but don't start throwing people under the bus people. We are fortunate to have the smart. The MHD and the diesel come in time. This is a new market. They are testing the waters. Chill out and go take a drive!

I too wish that we had the MhD and the Diesel... but yes, a thanks to Penske for finally making this a reality in the U.S.

Now, make a MhD CDi and I'll be a very happy Smart owner indeed.

I am hoping that by the time I have my little car paid off, they will make a MHD available.

i don't think the MHD would be of much benefit to me - luckily i don't spend alot of time stopped in traffic.

Where is the "slam"? This is simply a bald statement of fact: Penske is the US distributor and it was their decision which models to import. Period, end of statement.
