Sold just before I walked in-buyers were still playing with it. $#@&$%!! Perfect car for me. I am so pissed. Salesperson claimed no message from me and rules are to unload cars as quickly as possible.
At least I now know am at the top of the waiting list-unless they refuse to call me again. It was no secret I was upset. Might be a while before they see another Cabrio with red interior.

Happy ending to the story. They called a few days later with a Black/Black/Red Int Passion Coupe and agreed to hold this one as long as I needed to get in there to make up for the SNAFU.. I took a good look and decided that this one was just great-didn't need to spend $3K more for what amounts to a big sunroof. Besides, I have another ragtop in the family. I take delivery Wednesday! WooHoo!
FWIW the Smart Center in Lynnfield MA seems to be coming up with a lot of orphans. I went on their orphan waiting list only about 2 weeks ago or so and have had two opportunities and own one of them. Apparently, according to them, a lot of customers from the northern parts of NH, Maine and other distant areas of NE who ordered and configured early and are assigned to this dealer district are disappointed the closest dealer is so far away (basically in Boston) so many configured cars from these areas are being cancelled on delivery and orphaned. This will likely change quickly as orders start getting cancelled before configuration and manufacturing. There is a Silver/Silver/Black Int. Cabrio there right now with comfort package that is looking like it will be orphaned any day now due to buyer remorse. ( Good looking car actually) If you call 781-346-6222 ask for Patricia Neal and tell her Keith sent you.
