Opinions on power steering

I wondered if anyone had any experience with and could comment on the new fortwo's power steering.

I've read completely conflicting reviews ("Steering tightens just right as you gain speed"/"Difficult to keep on the line") and hoped someone here might be able to provide some insight.

I drove both versions and liked the power steer... however I have a messed up right shoulder and tend to use left arm for wheel lock to wheel lock motions... the non power steer while fairly light needed both arms..while the power-steer is easy to just spin with one hand... I drive with both on the wheel so what I am describing is use in backing or parking situations... neither system was driven enough or over enough different roads to detect any wander..car was new car stable

Other posts had indicated that the car would be too reactive to road irregularities with the PS....Good, cause I've ordered it on my car.
Thanks for that info, Fred.

...that didn't really stay on topic

we'll probably go without it, but hopefully the demos will have one of each to compare them, esp.while parking, before we'll have to make our final config. decision.

I really didn't noticed any difference when I test drove both with and without power steering when they were doing the road show.
