ORANGE fortwo!

Ok folks, I'm thinking about painting the panels ORANGE, just like the Brabus Ultimate 112/997 GT3RS/Lotus Exige although not everything.............the tridion cell would be silver or black. Personally I would like the silver T and silver Brabus wheels

What do you guys think?

- You like all-ORANGE
- You like ORANGE with a silver tridion
- You like ORANGE with a black tridion
- You absolutely hate ORANGE and would never paint a car this color

In a tribute to Mr. Cash I will refrain from suggesting that if you want an orange smart just order red one!

The Brabus 112 orange is realy a bit over the top for my tastes, but a smart in any color is cool! I've never seen an ugly one!

How about pearlescent pumpkin with a gold metalflake trid? It would look like a modern version of Cinderella's coach!

I would go all orange for the most dramatic effect ... Land Rover did one in orange (still appears on TV commericials) as well as Lamborghini. If you want to avoid painting the tridion, I would go with orange/silver otherwise it may remind people of the great pumpkin (orange/black), Land Rover calls this Vesuvius Orange:

At the LA Auto Show last month orange was the color of choice for over 30 different cars on display. When an automaker wanted to highlight their new hot car this year, it was orange.

It looks like orange is the new red for attention getting cars. And that classic Benz color looks a lot like the smart "red."

Orange may be coming back; BMW had a real orange (although it did look sorta red ) in the 70s, and as you point out Lotus has orange now. So, go for it - just be ready for lots of stares.

It may be just the way my TV reproduces color, but I see an orangy-red (very close to smart's) in Ford, Dodge, and Jeep commercials. Maybe I'll take a drive down the local "auto mile" to see if really is that way.

I repainted my 73 Capri...LOVED that car...corvette orange due to some spray that ruined the paint. When I picked it up I thought, what have I done. It was a little bright for me. People either loved or hated it.

Orange would look great, esp the Chrome Orange of the Lotus!

Black would accent it well, but to match the wheels - stick with silver... IMO

Most important is what YOU like the best, YOU are the one driving it... LOL
