Yeah, I could let this one slide, but...
"Never admit guilt" is what your insurance company and any lawyer will instruct you to do. Why? Not because you're trying to slip past and cheat the truth, but your perception may not include all the facts. You may have turned your wheel 12 seconds into an event, not knowing that 10 seconds into said event someone else had just veered off course. So saying "I turned into his path and caused the accident" has no benefit other than to express remorse. If, in this case, Morris had claimed guilt for hitting the truck, he'd then have to defend in court how he got in the position in the first place.
My point is, lawyers are creepy people that will exploit any chance to prove their point. That's their job: to put you ahead of the person you're fighting and make sure you win. Don't give the other guy's creepy $300+/hr lawyer any ammunition, but don't lie either. "I didn't see nuthin'" is often a lie, and that's different from letting someone more experienced defend you.
