Orphan, smart. Mama, neander-tech. Need to share pics.

And, if you will forgive a little old lady, need some kinderhelp.

When I initially joined, I tried to put my pic in my identity thingy. It's there, but won't load. Something about its size, I gather.

And, please. I *did* read the manual. Nothing about photos.

So, elementary school for Mama, to show off her absolutely adorabobble Cloud9.

The pics are all herded into one place on an Adobe photo thing. All of them. Not just of Cloud9, but photos from months of this and that. Her pics are huddled together near the bottom. I created a 'collection,' and can email. Not many, but the buying 'experience,' in its ikea glory with mark-up mentality; our first encounter; and her first smart parking.

Silver wasn't my first choice. Her name originally was Ruby. I planned ahead. Crystal White? Cloud9. And, since every cloud has a silver lining... Or, she could have been Stella Blue. Or Dark Moon. And may be, in some time future. Today, we compliment each other in our countenances. Snow on the mountain.

Oh! First MPG: 39.24 @ $3.599, 286 miles, 7.287 gals.

Automatically.

Anyhoo, I know it can't be hard to get pics, said the neandertech...

Garage
Susie, et al,

First of all, I'd recommend dividing your picture into folders - say one for your car. Makes finding them much easier.

Second, either upload them to the forum Gallery (keeping them within the size limits) and use the BB link to put them in your posts. Or...

Upload them to something like Photobucket or Putfile (both free) and then copy the IMG link into your posts. You can also use free programs like Picasa 2 (download from Google) or Adobe Photoshop Album Starter edition (download from Adobe) to manage your photos.

Try this and let us know if you need more info.

Susie 1382

Click on the gallery forum up top in the red bar
scrool down to Member Gallery section.should be the last item in the long list..click
Slightly above where it invites you to creat a member gallery is the "Upload" command...click
You will now see how much space is reserved for you (10 Mb?)
In the first area of "image options" section should be several (4?) places for you to "Browse" to your photos on you local machine.

So browse to your photo and once selected, click OK

Next fill in the areas about title and what ever..for now just add a "title"

IN Category.....If not alread defaulted to Member Gallery change "Category" to member gallery...

End up, by "submitting" and the forum will create a Member Gallery for Susie 1382

After you have your gallery and some photos in it...

The best way to post a photo in a forum thread post is to find you gallery photo and slect it... there will be three different way to link or display it in a post...

the first "Direct Link Code" copy and past method yields this link
http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/gal...hp?imageid=746

the second method "BB Image Code" gives you the photo like this:

and this is third "<img> Tag Code" method:
<img src="http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/gal...hp?imageid=746" alt="Randon Uploads" />

a bit more verbose and still just provides a link

Many Thanks, jwight and Fred. I managed to get one in the gallery.

Having never dealt with photos, the learning curve is steep for me. Sure do appreciate the mini-class, and will work more on this later.

Thanks again.
