Paint Suggestions

Everything on my Bumble bee is Yellow & Black except the front Logo and the smart emblem on the rear. I am considering removing them and painting them black. If I did so what type of paint should I use on them and should I sand them lightly or something before I paint them.
Any expert opinions would be appreciated.

I think you might cause more grief removing them paint and reattaching...

I would consider masking in and around them with Blue tape and exacto knife away every thing you want shiny Black.... q tip with alcohol.... light sanding with 400 grit (tedious and carefully) q tip again with alcohol then shoot with Krylon Plastic formula in gloss, semi gloss, or flat Black

If you need to remove them... the sanding may be a bit easier ....6 to one half dozen to the other...as to which method will be less aggravation

I had thought of eventually doing my nose badge in black with the "puffin beak" red. I'd like have it done (by an artisan) by "vitreous enameling." That is, if the badge can withstand the tremendous heat required (glass-melting temp). If not, powder coating may have to do. This on a white/black/red smart.
