Recently painted the roof and "Safety Cell" stripe on my Passion a GM color called White Diamond. Base color is Metalic Red. Looks good and makes all the difference in heat transfer while sitting in the sun. Added an insulated headliner about two months ago, helped but not enough for me. Still too early to see if there are any adhearance problems with painting the polycarbonate roof.

Still interested in painting the roof? See post by UncleBill today, pictures in SCOA Gallery.

I have read about the sunscreen sliding out of track. Is this still an issue or has it been resolved?

Can a window tint professional put a one way metallic velum on the inside of the panoramic roof?
Would this help reflect the heat and not affect the view?

Shane...

It was my understanding that our Makrolon roof does already include about 65% UV filter, if not more. But I couldn't find the actual figure...

Since the solid roof panel appears to be plastic, could one get one to match the other plastic panels on ones Smart car?

I have the pure with the solid roof. I like the solid roof.

Heckle,
The original track system was sub-par, and had some problems. If you have one of those (the problem has since been fixed), the dealer should trade it out for the revised, MUCH improved version.

How do you know if you have the older one? It is somewhat hard to move back and forth, if you don't move it all the way forward or backward before returning it to its original position, it can get jammed, it can get twisted and come apart. The new one moves effortlessly, and doesn't require full movement forward or backward before moving it again...
