Paparazzi at the Tire Rack!

I just got back from the One Lap Of America rally at the Tire Rack in South Bend, Indiana. Smart was the photo-op of the day as Steve, the driver of the Smart that is racing, was joined by myself and two other owners. We originally thought we'd just get together and take a photo of the four of them. However, the whole thing mushroomed and pretty soon it was decided that we should see if four Smarts could fit in one parking spot! We did it! The Tire Rack brought out their scissor lift and the paparazzi had a blast! Ange Lisuzzo and Steve Rossini took photos for Car and Driver and Jen Dunnaway took photos for cardomain.com.
I'll post some if they follow through with their offer to email me some photos.
I had a great time meeting fellow Smarties. Poppy may need some dark sunglasses so that she can drive, incognito, through the streets of the city!

For those of you in the area, The South Bend Tribune did an article about Poppy. I saw that it was supposed to be published Thursday, but then the story didn't make it. I'll keep watching and post a link if it becomes available.

I was at the beaverun event yesterday, we had three, plus Steve for a total of four. we had them lined up. I will post photos later. Glad you enjoyed yourself, I did!

I knew I would miss out big time by not going to the One Lap of America, missed it last week too. Last week I had no good reason. Today, Nephew's wedding stuff. Sounds like it was a great time. Do let us know when the artical hits the South Bend Trib. I'll be looking for it.

This is the best picture I took. I’m sure the pictures from the scissor lift will be much better and hopefully we will be able to get some of them soon.

driven2succeed’s smart is the white / silver Passion at the front. My smart is at the back of the parking space it’s a silver / black Passion. At this time I don’t know the screen name of the black / black Pure owner’s name from Chicago, so I won’t use his real name and last but not least, is the silver / silver smart raced by Stephen in the “Lap of America”.

That's hilarious. Wish I had seen that in person... those cars are so close together that I wonder if setting off the alarm on one would get the others to join in chorus.

What's great is only two of them are boxed in.

I'll have to try parking sideways in the half-empty back lot at work and see how it goes. At a minimum, I'll get a laugh.

I did that the first day at work. Some of my nice co-workers threated to block me in by parking in the other spots. I think I posted the photo here?
